The planning process

Once a plan has been submitted to SCDC it will be sent to the Parish Council for comments.  The Planning Committee meets on a Monday at 7:15 at Witnesham Baptist Church, but not each week, and the public are welcome to attend.

The Planning Committee will decide to support or not support any application and will pass back to the District Council any comments it feels should be taken into consideration by the District Council.

Other topics

The Local Plan (Local Government Framework).  This is a folder of documents that sets out how your local area may change over the next few years.  It covers such areas as affordable housing, planning, strategic policy.  The Parish Council will be developing its own Local Plan over time.
